Hello. It's time for us to update the names in the patrols since the patrols had already been stabled. I'm trying my best to figure out who and who is in which patrol because i doesn't have the namelist. I hope all of you can tag on the tagboard and tell me what is your patrol members if you know, so that i can update and don't trouble Wanling to come down to school and take the namelist to update the blog.

Regarding yesterday's Guides Session

Hi everyone including the Sec 1s! I am Zihong and is my first time posting about our guides sesion. Yesterday we did some drillings with the sec 1s and then we played a version of Kim's game as what Ms Tay said yesterday. I hoped most of you enjoyed it. Well, Thinking Day is round the corner and we must put in more effort in our drillings and it will be more tougher so everyone must Jiayou Jiayou!

That's all about guides' session on yesterday.

It's me again. Haha~ I believe that some of you are viewing this blog for the first time. So I'll start the ball rolling by updating about today's activity and my reflection. I hope that after every friday, you girls can take turn to blog about how you feel about the meeting.

I think we had roll call first for the seniors and we started the secondary 1 with 'whacko'. Although I wasn't clear in explaning the game, you girls sounded like you all were having lots of fun trying whacking each other. Haha~

We played dog and bone before my favourite, treasure hunt. Yeah! I wondered how you girls think about guides so I had one station on it. I guess many of you like the toilet station and the one with jigsaw puzzle. Congrats to the team that came in first.

Then we had Ms Tay leading with the songs and guide's own. And home sweet home.

It's really nice to see you all running here and there during the treasure hunt, but I could see that some of the team didn't proceed as a group and that's dissapointing. However, the new comers seems to enjoy thenself a lot today. There will be more training sessions coming up since our thinking day is just round the corner. Jiayou!

Girl Guides Banner.

Banner is finally done,
Thanks to those who had put in effort in helping to think of ideas for the banner, and also painting the banner.
Banner is submitted to the HQ. :)

The Secondary One CCA's result is already out,
There's about 10 of the girls joining us,
Though it's a small number,
I thank all the guides who were present during the CCA Fair. :)

Arlo!
A new year, and of course we had a new skin, as you can see now. :)

It's 2009 now and some of our seniors had graduated,
And some of them were able go secondary 5.
But they are passing out (POP) soon too, in May.
They have to study & revise for their O levels. :(

So guides will only left with secondary 2s, and hopefully alot of secondary 1s. :)
We might be doing alot of stuffs, activities, camps, earning badges, etc.
It will be a fun & memorable one, i guess.

I hope that this CCA will become a big group soon, maybe in 2 years time?
Haha. Let's work hard and hope we are able to recruit at least 20 secondary 1s this year.

HEY GIRLS!
Xiaowei here. I hope everything is fine now. I understand that your are a small group now, and your feel weird without us. I am sure the experience that your are going to have for the next few months will be something your are learning ahead of your other peers. So do continue to work hard and bring Girl Guides to a greater height. It is not easy being a leader for those who are a leader now, your courage and confidence will bring you to further,those who are not et, please, respect whoever is giving the insturctions give your fellow peers the respect you have given to the seniors. Without your support, and encouragement to support your fellow peers, how are your going to expect the Secondary 1 next year to respect you?Therefore, i seek those who are fooling around now to be serious and cooperate with the teachers and the leaders. Do attend trainings regularly, dont think the seniors are not there to reprimand you and you and skip training as and when you want. Ms Tay and Ms Kharin have put in a lot of effort to plan the trainings, in helping and guiding you to attain the badges that you can. So attain as much as badges as you can, at the same time learn from the activities you went through to attain the badge. Do not be dismay of the number your have now, around 12 of you, when the secondary 1 join in next year, the MPSS GG Family will get bigger. For now, try to get to know one another more, and be like a bunch of sisters. =)
REMEMBER : I WILL BE BACK NEXT YEAR TO TRAIN YOUR! So "Be Prepared"

find me in school once you post any post up so that i will take a look at it.
and yes. please treat this blog as somewhere where you can all share your experience, so when you look back four years time you know what you have done in this four years. Do take turns every week within the 3 patrols to update the blog, so that the seniors know that your are fine! =) we will come and visit your one day! =D

guides camp 2008- our happy memories

let's start with day one... the first game is musical chairs. really proud of you girls for your braveness and sporting attitude despite the eggs and flour being spread on the chairs. our winner, Nooraini must be prepared that she got to wash her shorts double hard, haha. before the day ends, we had our incomplete treasure hunt that was made scary by the horror movie and no lightings around the school.

day two we had rescue mission, three cheers for DOVE who rescued Kastori and Tameena. glad that every patrol showed teamwork in this game, running here and there as a group. then the long waited water bomb game, i guess everybody enjoyed this game a lot. King Fisher and Flower Pecker did well to protect their girls from getting wet.

day three is the test for teamwork and cooperation, congrats to flower pecker and king fisher for producing the nicest and fastest words in the string writing. you girls displayed a lot of positive traits during the hula hoop game when your cheer for each other.

before the june holidays started, we had our pop (passing out parade) and the last parade was definitely memorable for the seniors. so what should you people look forward to when the first week of the holidays is going to end soon?

it's the annual guides camp in the third week. haha. it would be filled with excitement and a lot of memories for everyone. hope to see you people there.

so how was the speech day parade today? i guess almost everybody is relieved that the parade is finally over. do you girls feel proud of yourself? haha. although i didn't see how you all marched, i think it should be very good. because everyone could see how much effort you all had put in for this parade. good job girls.

there is this chinese saying "台下十年功, 台上一分钟" which means ten years of hardwork before the one minute of perfomance on stage ( got to use some profound words like Xiao Wei). with that i think i'll end this post before anyone says that i'm too longwinded. remember to take care and rest well girls.

The last rehersal for speech day which is on the coming Wednesday..
I think we should take it seriously when we are in the parade ..
Because i think this is the last parade we are having with our seniors already ..
Even though the trainings & rehersals is quite tough, i think we should take it seriously, so that we can improve, and we will not need to do it again & again ..
Also.. Not to dissappoint our seniors =P ...

I know i keep fidgeting during the rehersals ..
But i will try my best not to fidget anymore during the Wednesday rehersal ..

hey girls, i know it has been tough on you all to train so hard for the speech day parade, especially the sec 1s. you girls really improved a lot from the first combined rehearsal till now and the effort that you all put in can really make a difference.

please take every rehearsal seriously, take it as if it's the real event. your attitude towards this is very important. also listen to the feedback given by the others and try to implement suggestions, in this way, you all are sure to do well. more importantly, don't be disheartened by the negative comments.

this might be the last parade that the seniors are having, so do your best for it. sec 1s, it is really impressive for you all to perform this well but i'm sure that everyone of you know what is needed to be improved. Xiao Wei also said that the sec 1s are doing better than the other sec 1s peers in other ug groups, so you all should be proud of yourselves. be more confident, you girls can do it.

We will inform the attire wise through the school notice board/announcement, any changes to the time or date of the following trainings will also be updated on the school notice board/announcement in school if not PLEASE FOLLOW THIS TRAINING SCHEDULE:

Training 1 : 19th March (Wednesday) 3.00pm - 5.00pm
Training 2 : 25th March (Tuesday) 3.00pm - 6.oopm
Training 3 : 27th March (Thursday) 3.00pm - 5.00pm

Girl Guides World Thinking Day @ MPSS

Is another great job did by all of us again! =)
Thinking back all the tranings that we had made has been worthwhile...
Thanks to all of you who have contributed in all the tranings in some way or another,
a special thanks to all the seniors who have actually took their busy schedule to come back to train us. THANK YOU SENIORS! =P
Not forgetting to our PC of the year ; Staphanie (CS) haha, she really put in a lot of effort to memorize and we were all shocked when she first shouted. LOL the girl who is always talking softly really can shout! =DDDD chinese says : "ren bu ke mao xiang" - ask your chinese friends what this means...
Lets give all ourselve a big round of applause to making this parade succeed, without the effort put in by everyone of you the parade would not have been successful... *CLAPCLAP*
Coming up we have speech day to be busy with, hope that all of you will keep up the good work especially the secondary 1s, the seniors are all very impressed with the potential you all have. *CLAPCLAP X100* We are very sure that your can keep MPSS GG moving successfully...
